The Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA) will once again host the most important auction of contemporary Latin American art on the West Coast, Auction 08, on October 18-19, 2008. 

This weekend event will feature live and silent auctions of more than 200 extraordinary works of art, including paintings, sculptures, works on paper and prints by renowned and emerging artists from Mexico, Spanish-speaking Caribbean, Central and South America.  In addition to bringing together an amazing showcase of art by some of the greatest artists in Latin America.  Auction 08 is MoLAA’s signature event and most important fundraisers to support our collection, exhibition and  educational programs.

The third annual Molaa Awards 08 is an invitational juried art competition and exhibition. It has become the museum’s signature event inviting mid-career and emerging artists from 20 Latin American countries to share their art with our audience. This spirited competition seeks museum quality works of art to represent the best of Latin America (click here for more information).
