Alejandro Otero
Alejandro Otero is one of the most important Kinetic artists of Venezuela. The principle characteristic of the kinetic movement is how the art moves either by the effect of the wind, by optical illusion or by motors. The Kinetic artist utilized the advances of technology and many used new modern materials such as stainless steel or plastic to create their sculptural forms. Delta Star is a model for the monumental work, with the same name, seen in the front of the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.
