Agustín Bejarano
The paintings by Cuban artist, Agustín Bejarano, reflect an interest in classical art such as the Renaissance or the art of ancient Greece. The artist states, “The influence of Greek culture is very present in my art; for example, in the presence of the flowers, the columns and the positions of the figures.” The ancient objects, suspended in space like old memories, create an atmosphere in Bejarano’s work that fluctuates between time and memory.

El propio artista comenta: “la influencia de la cultura griega está presente en mi obra, por ejemplo, en la presencia de las flores, las columnas y las poses de las figuras”. Las atmósferas creadas por Bejarano guardan relación con el tiempo y la memoria, los objetos antiguos flotan como si se tratase de viejos recuerdos.
